In c1795 convicts Anne Armsden and George Legg built and lived in a weatherboard and shingle house on the site. In 1805 George Legg died and in 1810 Anne Armsden married George Talbot, a baker. Sometime before 1822 they built two new semi-detached stone cottages on the site. The southernmost house, number 93, was sold to Hugh Hector Innes Noble in c1822.
