Events

Convicts landed to fell trees and dig sawpits then returned on board at night. Stores and tents landed. Fishing with nets. The fishing party meets Aborigines who assist in hauling the net and are given fish.

Governor Philips marks out the lines for the Encampment. The marines and convicts are on the west side of the cove and the Governor and staff plus his guard and a small number of convicts are on the east side. Strict orders are given to treat the aborigines with friendship.

Some of the marines and male convicts, except the sick, are landed and encamped.
