Daniel King and Susan Tirley

Daniel King was a sailor on the Lord Melville in 1817. Susan Tirley (aka Tinny/Tilly) was a convict aboard the same ship. They settled in Sydney and married in 1818. Daniel established a ferry service on the Paramatta River. Daniel, Susan and their children moved into 101 Gloucester Street in 1822. In 1923 Daniel abandoned his family and returned to sea. By 1828 Susan had died or had handed her children to orphanages and also left.
