The larger detached house at number 128 was built by Albert Nicholas c1833 at the same time as the four conjoined terraces at numbers 120-126 Cumberland Street. The new buildings replaced a row of tenements built by George Cribb circa 1823. Number 126 was demolished in the early 1920s.
