HMS Sirius

HMS Sirius was the flagship of the First Fleet. She was converted from a merchantman, the Berwick in 1781 and was renamed HMS Berwick. On the 12th October 1786 she was renamed HMS Sirius. She was just under 512 tons, carried 10 guns, a complement of 50 and was captained by John Hunter. On the 19th March 1790 she was wrecked on the reef at Lord Howe Island.
