The settlement is beginning to look like a village with a number of little huts and cottages. The brickfields are a mile away along a pleasant road through the wood. A kiln is in the process of being dug out to fire some 20-30,000 bricks.

At the public farm 8-10 acres of land has been prepared for crops. The cows, bulls and horses are thriving but the sheep and the hogs are not.
